Goodbye 2005 and Hello 2006!
This entry was written on the 3rd day of 2006. Only now I get to publish it.. urghh... banyak kezutan la... ish ish ish...
It's been 5 years into the 21st century
Welcome 2006 and I hope it's not too late to wish you all Happy New Year! And I hope you all had a good start this year.
We welcomed the 21st century in 2001, in which now it's been 5 years. So what have I accomplished in these 5 years? Looking from my checklist (for all the 8 objectives to be met between 2001 and 2010), there are only 2 are checked so far. What are those 2? Heheh.. it's for me to know and for you to find out! ;)
Somehow I'm amazed at myself to be able to achieve those two. I won some and lost a lot. I got extra "rezeki" and managed to fix my life financially which was badly affected during the recession. Then I faced a lot of challenges when I was retrenched (due to LIFO policy), was cheated because I trusted too much, trying to cope with my expenses while being unemployed (it was the case of either I was underqualified or overqualified), and not to mention all the disagreements and not-too-supportive-comments from family and relatives (yes relatives, who just couldn't resist "monitoring" me as if I'm a celebrity - ahaks!) of my decision to move out from my rented room and rent an apartment to live all by myself (a couple of months before I was retrenched). But again, I believe that there is no problem that cannot be solved.
So, with what I had with me, with the support from my good friends and my dearest one, I survived the ordeal and slowly I built my life back to what it was before and better. I knew then that I should not give a damn to what other people say about all my decisions, I should not to ask for advice or help when I could have known better and helped myself, and I should not trust anyone too much. Not even a cat. One minute it would purr at you and another second, it would either bite you or scratch you.
What is in for me this year? Hmm.. based on THE checklist, I got a few to tick by end of this year.. We’ll see how it goes…
Hope you all have a nice year ahead and may God bless you always!

Today is my last working day in 2005. I will be on leave until January 2nd.

Long holiday.. where would I be? Most probably down south, to visit my sister and friends. And also to do some furniture rearrangement, furniture disposal/donation, and getting ready for next year tons of work.
Right now, I am really in holiday mood. Half of the office is already empty. And I got nothing much to do today since everything has been settled. And my counterpart in US/UK are already on holiday starting today until end of first week of January.
So to those who will be on holiday too next week, if you drive, drive safely and have a safe trip to anywhere and back. I have decided not to bring my laptop with me, so I'll be back on the Net next year.
Till we meet again next year - Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it and Happy New Year 2006 to all! Muahssssssss.......

The other day, Kak Lady wrote about new year resolution, and I promised to write one entry about this too.. so here it is:

I like to read CLEO because the articles in this magazine are informative and educating. Since we are nearing to year 2006, I would like to share this with you. :)
Excerpt from CLEO November 2005
New Year Resolutions that you should never make
1. I'll cook proper meals every night
2. I'll get a personal trainer to monitor my fitness
3. I won't let PMS get the better of me
4. I'll exercise for 30 minutes every day
5. I'll think positive all the time
6. I'll never shout at my family again
7. I'll be in bed at 10pm every night
8. I'll do more for others
9. I'll give up snack food
10. I'll stop buying things I don't need
11. I'll go to the gym everyday
12. I'll give up chocolate for good
13. I'm going to lose 5kg by month-end
14. I'll keep in touch with all my friends
15. I'll do 100 sit-ups a day to get a flat tummy
P/S: I never make any new year resolution all my life. But what I will do is plan - especially travel plan, work plan and ticking off checkboxes in my life goal checklist...
